French Refresher.

Feeling a little bit of the winter blues. I cannot wait for spring to arrive! It is my second favorite time of the year.  Although the weather has been looking up.
I get the itch to open my windows to let some crispy fresh air in. Do some deep spring cleaning and of course fluff the house. I am especially looking forward to visiting some nurseries, wandering through rows of beautiful flowers and deciding what herbs and veggies I will be planting this year.
While I was craving some spring I came across this beautiful blog.

I love the old french rustic style. And it inspired me to do a little "refreshing"...
Her home is fabulous. Her style is fabulous. Simple and Fresh.
I also have been wanting to find an old wood ladder! I fell in love with this and I want one...
Been on the lookout and have seen a few but not wanting to pay a million bucks for it.
And why is it that we have NO good flea markets???!!!
I would die to find one..A really good one...Just the thought of meandering through displays of yummy old things gives me butterflies.
My little "refresher" is nothing like hers but...it inspired me and gave me a lift!
A few crisp accessories. A good reminder that spring is coming and to help lighten and brighten the winter drab. This fabulous old crate was found by none other then my hubby.  Of all places he was elk hunting and came across it abandoned, filled with vintage coke, ginger ale and lemonade glass bottles.
A gauzy white cloth and burlap for layering.  And one of my favorite things, a rusty wire basket.
I also came across this vintage hand embroidered napkin..."Hot Biscuits" it made me smile, so naturally it had to come home with me.
While on my hunt for a mini spring "lift" this light rug with a cream trellis pattern now grounds my dining table and some new carved side chairs on either side.  Perfect for taking a moment and soaking up some warm sunshine in the afternoon.

And, I  picked up this old curved cane back sitting chair for a steal...It was brown and bleh. So with a fresh coat of creamy paint he is now tucked by my fireplace. Ready for a good book.
Until then ladies...wishing for the golden rays of spring sunshine, crispy air, and Spring Refreshment. Cheers!
